Magnolia High School Students Attend SkillsUSA’s Washington Institute

Magnolia, Texas (December 8, 2017) – A delegation of Career and Technical Education (CTE) students and instructors from Texas met with Christopher D. Taylor, staff member of Bill Flores, and Dylan MacInerney, assistant to Kevin Brady, earlier this fall. Congressional visits are an important part of SkillsUSA’s Washington Leadership Training Institute (WLTI).

Junior Master Gardeners are Growing Green Thumbs in Magnolia ISD

Magnolia, Texas (December 8, 2017) – Gardening in the schools is happening throughout several elementary schools in Magnolia ISD. Bear Branch, Ellisor and Magnolia Parkway Elementary schools all have Junior Master Gardening (JMG) clubs that meet on a regular basis. These groups are comprised third through fifth-graders and kindergarteners.

District Student Leadership Program Reaches New Heights

Magnolia, Texas (November 30, 2017) – The Magnolia ISD Student Leadership 2017-18 cohort has been selected for the academic year. This year, 32 junior level students have been selected to participate in this year’s program. This is the fifth cohort under the guidance of Superintendent Dr. Todd Stephens.

Students Implement "Get Out and Vote"

The Magnolia Independent School District (MISD) and the Voter Awareness Council (VAC) are pleased to announce that the student led get out the vote campaign previously announced has reached a successful conclusion – with students, faculty and staff actually voting. Under the leadership of faculty members Mrs. Brittany Marrs and Mr. Jeremy Day, the high schools Senior Class Leadership Team has successfully executed the Voting 101 guidelines suggested by VAC.

Magnolia Community to Honor Harvey Impacted District at Halftime Show

Magnolia, Texas (October 18, 2017) –Magnolia ISD and the Magnolia community are raising funds to support a small district in Orange, TX, Little Cypress-Mauriceville CISD (LCM), who was severely impacted by Hurricane Harvey. At the Magnolia West (5-0) vs. Magnolia High (4-1) halftime show on Friday, October 20, the district and the community will be honoring all of those who are helping to raise funds for LCM.
