Former Houston Texans Visit Magnolia Elementary

J.J. Moses and Eric Brown gave a pep rally to over 800 kids about the importance of setting goals, how to achieve your goals and had a few football trivia questions which the students knew their facts about the Texans. Eric Brown surprised one student when he answered a question correctly and got to try on Brown’s Super Bowl ring.

“This experience is something our kids will not forget! The Texans are a positive role model and for our kids to see and hear the players talk about the importance of setting goals and how to achieve them will make an impact,” stated Linda Kenjura, principal at Magnolia Elementary School.

After the pep rally, 200 students between 2nd and 5th grade who wrote an essay expressing the importance of school pride and team spirit were able to participate in the training camp experience. There were several obstacles set up for students to do various practice drills creating a junior football camp.

The bulldog mascot along with a couple of Texans cheerleaders took photos with the kids and encouraged them as they completed the course. The staff, students and parent volunteers did not disappoint the former Texans players as everyone was dressed with Houston Texans pride.
