Magnolia High School shared their new signage reminding students to bring a note if they are absent from school. All schools in MISD ask students to submit a note upon returning to school after an absence. MISD receives between $30 - $70 from the state of Texas for each student in attendance each day which helps fund our instructional programs. The District realizes that there are situations where students must miss school. However, students who miss school to attend an appointment with a health-care professional, will be counted present for the day if they attend class either before or after the appointment and submit a note from their medical provider upon returning to school. The District wants our students to develop solid attendance at school so they will be well prepared for success in their future. Attend today, achieve tomorrow!
