Dr. Mike Metz Named Principal for Magnolia High School

“I am excited about being a part of the Magnolia Bulldog community! I look forward to working collaboratively with the entire school community – students, staff, parents and community members,” stated Metz.

Metz has a track record of bringing innovative programs and opportunities to students. With his upbeat and engaging personality, Metz’s vision for the high school is to continue to build a positive, strong culture through the development of rich learning environments centered on student success.

Metz holds a Bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University, a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Sam Houston State University and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Lamar University.

He and his wife Jenny have been married for 13 years and have three children. They are active members in the community and members of Tomball Bible Church. Metz will finish the academic year at Magnolia Junior High and will start his new role this summer at Magnolia High School. Metz replaces Jeff Springer who announced in March his retirement at the end of the 2015-2016 school year.
