Magnolia High School UIL Academic State Medalists

More acclaim has been brought to Magnolia High School for the UIL academic program - two of the state qualifiers, Jordan Goff and Laila Espinoza, came home with medals. Jordan Goff, senior, was awarded 5th place in the Editorial Writing journalism event. Jordan is an avid writer for the UIL team and last year was the state champion in the Feature Writing journalism event. Laila Espinoza, senior, was awarded the 2nd place silver medal in Computer Applications winning with her highest score ever. Laila was also a competitor at the state meet last year where she won 4th place.

Magnolia High School UIL Academic team has celebrated many successes this year: District Champions for the 3rd time in a row, Region Runner Up for the 2nd time in a row and 13 state qualifiers two years in a row. The students and coaches that are part of this program are to be commended for their efforts and we anticipate what the 2016-2017 year will hold for the UIL Academic program at Magnolia High School.
