Magnolia High School Students to Compete at National Conference

Their journey began back in January when 15 of the 23 members of the Magnolia High School BPA “Bull Dogged” their way through the Region Leadership Conference competition held at Davis Senior High School, advancing to state level competition held March 1 – 4 in Dallas. The team came home from the State Leadership Conference with the following placings: Andrew Nunn – State Champion – Fundamental Accounting; Jacob Sass – 2nd Place – Advanced Accounting; Logan Bray – 4th Place – Computer Network Technology; Kimberley Duncan – 5th Place – Integrated Office Systems and Procedures; Alexander Duvall – 8th Place – Prepared Speech; and the Financial Analyst Team made up of Kimberley Duncan, Andrew Nunn, Jacob Sass, and Caleb Wall – 7th Place.

Other participants at the state level included Yobana Castillo – Presentation Management; Brandon Frasier – Advanced Spreadsheet; Martin Hernandez – Fundamental Word Processing; Luke Karnei – Banking and Finance; Daniel Masud – JAVA Programming; Hannah Robertson – Medical Office Systems and Procedures; Caleb Wall – Payroll Accounting; Jacque Waters – Advanced Office Systems and Procedures; and Brice Willbanks – Intermediate Word Processing.
