“This past year we participated at a minimal level, but after attending the leadership graduation ceremony in April, I knew in my heart we wanted to commit even more to this amazing program,” stated CEO of Kodiak Gas Services David Marrs. “I strongly believe in public education and know budgets are limited. This is one way we can support the community and support the development of leaders.”
The 2017-2018 school year will be the sixth year for the program. Last year the program was expanded to include a capstone project for the seniors which was a voter registration campaign. The Montgomery County Voter Awareness Council has now partnered with the district to take this project and expand it across the county.
Kodiak Gas Services will join other sponsors of this select program that include Hughes Natural Gas, business coach Dr. Kozhi Makai, and the Magnolia Rotary Club. The program is for selected juniors and seniors from our comprehensive high schools and designed to meet and network with elected officials; explore leadership challenges associated with complex issues within the county and state; discover ways to make a difference in the community, and develop leadership skills.
