The students auctioned 80 animals exceeding last year’s live auction by $8,300 and increased overall sales by $20,000.
Director of Career and Technical Education, Michael Daniel stated, “The show was a tremendous success thanks to all of the Ag Staff, Students, Parents, and Community. We greatly appreciate those who supported our students by providing them with financial resources for their future educational careers! Thank you Magnolia community!”
FFA and 4H members are given the opportunity to purchase, raise and show an animal for the annual show including market steers, hogs, sheep, goats, broilers, rabbits and turkeys. The net profits from the sale of the animal are the students’ to keep. Most of the students invest their money into a new animal project or save for their college education. Students have been working with the animals since last year and all summer while balancing their responsibilities.
