Magnolia ISD 2017 National Merit Students

Magnolia, Texas (October 31, 2016) –Trent Harris and Jonathan Herrera from Magnolia High School were named semifinalists in this year’s list for the 2017 National Merit Scholarship Program. About 1.6 million high school students in more than 22,000 high schools entered the National Merit Scholarship Program by taking the 2015 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT).

Magnolia ISD is excited to offer Camp Adventures during the week of Thanksgiving break. The program will be offered at Bear Branch Elementary and Nichols Sawmill Elementary November 21 - 23. Each day is filled with fun and educational activities.

Thank You to Trustee Deborah Rose Miller

Dear Magnolia Community,
The Magnolia ISD Board of Trustees will reluctantly accept the resignation of Deborah Rose Miller at the October Board meeting. The Miller family is moving to the Atascocita area to be closer to Jeff’s job. For over 15 years Deborah Rose Miller has been an exceptionally active member of Magnolia ISD and the Magnolia Community.

Magnolia ISD Receives Gift from JROTC Foundation

Magnolia, Texas (September 21, 2016) – Magnolia ISD JROTC was honored to receive a $1,000 donation from the JRTOC Foundation in partnership with the Thomas Bay Chapter of the United States Daughters of 1812.

The Thomas Bay Chapter was asked by the JROTC Foundation to select seven schools in the area to receive this generous donation. Commander Kevin Bedell and Cadet Commander Laylon Mokry accepted the donation on behalf of Magnolia ISD JROTC program.

Magnolia ISD Revamps School Menus with More Options and Hires New Chef

Magnolia, Texas (September 20, 2016) – If you visit one of the Magnolia ISD campuses, students and parents will notice a big change in the presentation and menu options offered by the District’s Child Nutrition Department. The goal of Executive Director of Support Services Joe Dives was to revisit the products being served and look at adding new, quality additional menu options for students and staff for the 2016-2017 school year.
