MHS Students Need You to Fight Against Distracted Driving

Students from Magnolia High School will be competing in the Business Professionals of America (BPA) Regional Leadership Conference at Davis Senior High School on Saturday, January 30. Nineteen BPA members will be competing in Financial, Administrative Support, Management Marketing, Human Resources and Information Technology. Four members of the Website team are asking for the help of our community for their project proposal.

Trustee Participates in Leadership Program

Gary Blizzard, trustee from Magnolia ISD joined 34 other school board
members from across Texas November 19-21 at the second session of the Leadership TASB
class of 2016. Selected by the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB), the group is
participating in a yearlong education leadership study program. These trustees represent
school districts of all sizes, with student populations of 1,000 to 159,000, and reflect a similar
range of property wealth.

Magnolia ISD Medical Students Tour Tomball Regional Medical Center Facilities

On Thursday, December 10, Tomball Regional Medical Center (TRMC) hosted a tour for forty students from Magnolia ISD’s (MISD) Certified Nursing Assistant Program to expose students to careers in the medical field.

Arranged by MISD and TRMC, the tour included two of the hospital’s off-site departments, the Affinity Emergency Center at Magnolia and Affinity Imaging Center at Magnolia, as well as local family practice clinic, Affinity Medical Associates.
