Public Viewing of Instructional Materials

Magnolia ISD teachers have been reviewing proposed instructional materials for the 2015-2016 school year. The public is invited to view the instructional materials March 30, 2015 through April 2, 2105 between 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. at The Graves Education Service Center at 31141 Nichols Sawmill Road.

Magnolia Navy JROTC Cadet Earns Prestigious Award

Magnolia High School junior Alyssa Grimes recently competed with her air rifle teammates in the Navy JROTC National Air Rifle Championships in Anniston, Alabama. The air rifle team from the Magnolia JROTC qualified to go to the national competition by winning the state meet earlier in the year, in which Alyssa won the individual competition as well. This year she accomplished what all high school age shooters aspire to, the Junior Distinguished Badge awarded by the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP).

Magnolia ISD held its annual Rodeo Art Show sponsored by the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Congratulations to all of these students! Their work will be on display at NRG Arena for the duration of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.

Magnolia ISD Student Leadership Visit Local Leaders at the State Capitol

Superintendent Dr. Todd Stephens had a vision three years ago, to develop a program for junior level students that gives them an opportunity to learn about government leadership and how to be civic leaders of their community. The formation of the Magnolia ISD Student Leadership program was developed and this month the twenty four students along with Superintendent Dr. Todd Stephens and school administrators traveled to Austin, Texas to meet with local elected officials and learn about critical issues impacting the community.

Magnolia ISD Receives Grant for Campus Clinics

The Magnolia ISD Nursing Department is the recipient of a $16,000 grant from the Tomball Health Coalition. MISD was awarded the grant to purchase new equipment, update or replace older equipment, and supplies. All 15 MISD campuses will benefit from the grant with the students being the ultimate beneficiary—having the best equipment and receiving the best quality care a school district can provide.
