Facilities Planning Committee

The Magnolia ISD Facilities Planning Committee members included a cross section of parents, community members, and business leaders. The School Board tasked the committee to study the needs of the District. The committee met for several months analyzing projected growth and enrollment data, reviewing the financials and touring the facilities. 
 

The Charge of the Committee:

  • Review MISD student demographic and enrollment projections for 10 years forward.
  • Review student capacity of existing MISD facilities using 10 years of projected growth.
  • Review the current MISD instructional facilities with regards to the level of an acceptable District standard.
  • Develop a 5 year facility acquisition and improvement plan and projections/guidelines for 10 years.
  • Review identified operational or instructional programs that have capital improvement needs (transportation, technology, security, land for school sites, program improvements).
