If you want to walk around with your student you will need to volunteer to help at the other session . If we do not get enough volunteers then we will have to eliminate some of the events that are planned for the students for safety reasons, so PLEASE sign up to help.
We will be sending out a Field Day Volunteer form in Tuesday Folders on April 15th , please return them as soon as possible. We have only received 4 volunteers so far who have emailed. Mrs. Kenjura . Your help is greatly needed. It is a great way to have fun and help "OUR" school.

Mr. Green with some of the students who asked questions during his presentation.
Author Tim Green spent time with our third, fourth, and fifth grade students on Tuesday, February, 25th. Mr. Green's young adult novels are fun and fast paced, often with a sports theme. During his presentation he stressed the importance of working hard in school and treating others with kindness.
Mr. Green played in the NFL with the Atlanta Falcons for eight years. He is also an attorney and author of both adult and children's novels. You can check his books out at our library! Click this link to learn more about Tim Green and his books!

Sparkle on Sadie!
In December of 2012, our student and friend, Sadie was diagnosed with brain cancer. Sadie was happy, silly, smart, full of joy, kindness, and love. After 10 months of visiting the doctor, trips to St. Jude, and spending quality time with her family and friends, she passed away. We will miss her spunky smile, her vivacious laugh, and her generous spirit. Please keep her family and brother, Sean, in your thoughts. We are all blessed to have known such a lovely spirit.
Sparkle on Sadie,
MES loves you!
