Students that were members of the 2019-20 Lone Star Leadership at Magnolia Intermediate recently culminated their service activities from last year by donating $750 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Last school year, the group voted to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation throughout the second semester which was cut short due to COVID-19. However, prior to school closures, the group hosted a two-day bake sale and raised $750 on the campus during lunches.
"These students are the leaders of the future," said Magnolia Intermediate coach DeDear who oversees the group.
The students are happy they were able to learn how to work together, develop leadership skills, participate in service activities, and raise money for an organization that continues to give back to kids that are struggling with critical illnesses.
