Magnolia FFA Wins Big at Bison Judging Competition

Magnolia, Texas (October 30, 2014) –Magnolia FFA and Junior FFA Livestock Judging Teams went to Crocket, Texas on Saturday, October 25 to compete in the annual Texas Bison Association Judging Competition with a opportunity to win a $1,500 scholarship.

Winning the $1,500 scholarship was Todd Wellmann from Magnolia High School. Zachary Perry won second place and Riley Ripper placed fifth overall in the senior division. The Magnolia ISD students competed against 21 other teams with the senior team placing first overall winning the competition.

The Magnolia Junior FFA team was also very successful winning first place junior team. Coltin Walton placed first overall, Jessie Coker third overall, and Julie Webb fourth overall.
