The Greater Magnolia Chamber of Commerce Honors Teachers of the Month

Brenda Pagel is a thirteen year veteran teacher. She began her career at Magnolia Junior High teaching seventh grade English. Currently, Brenda is at Magnolia West High School where she teaches PAP English II and AP Language and Composition. She also serves as the sophomore team leader and is the National Honor Society sponsor at West. She is a graduate from the University of Houston and is proud mother of two adult children. When she’s not grading essays, Brenda enjoys reading mystery novels and watching movies. This passion for story, words, and language is part of the reason teaching is a great joy.

Erin Paulk is a 4th grade teacher at Williams Elementary. Erin did not realize she wanted to be a teacher until she started volunteering at a grief support center for children in Fort Worth. As a facilitator, she spent time getting to know the children who had recently lost a loved one. She felt like she was making a difference. She wanted that same fulfillment she felt volunteering in her everyday life, so she decided to pursue a career in teaching. Erin definitely has a heart for helping others and enjoys cheering on her students as they reach their goals.
