Magnolia ISD Receives Grant for Campus Clinics

The grant allows the department to purchase larger ticket items generally not supported through an annual operating budget. Examples of items approved through the grant include CPR manikins for training, portable carts, an Adapta Mesa treatment table which offers flexibility when treating patients and replacing older equipment like wheelchairs.

One item at the top of the department’s list was the addition of nebulizers in the clinics. The district nurses have seen an increase in the use of nebulizers due to the natural allergens in the environment.

“The Tomball Health Coalition is excited to provide funds that support the health and wellness of the Magnolia ISD students,” stated David McClinton, treasurer of Tomball Health Coalition. “Our goal is to provide the district with necessary medical equipment that will support the clinics so the nurses can continue to offer the best quality care for their students.”

The grant funds will benefit the health and wellness of all Magnolia ISD students. The Tomball Health Coalition is a charitable organization formed in January 2013 to promote the health and wellness in Magnolia, Tomball, Waller and surrounding area.
