Magnolia Education Foundation Awards Teacher Grants

Over $26,000 was awarded to six elementary schools and one to each of the high schools. A few examples of the grants awarded included a forensic science mannequin for science class; literacy libraries; and tools for elementary math.

“This is always an exciting time for the foundation. The committee had a very tough job this year with almost $80,000 in grants submitted,” says MEF President Pam Rogers. “We would like to thank the business leaders and our community for supporting the education foundation. We want to continue to award innovative teaching grants that benefit our students and teachers.”

Formed in 2001, MEF was founded to provide “tools for learning” and funds programs outside of the District budget to support excellence in education. MEF’s mission is to achieve academic excellence by developing financial resources though community involvement.
