Brad Wikse named New Head Tennis Coach at Magnolia High School

Coach Wikse has been a highly successful tennis coach throughout his career. This spring he coached 8 district champion players as well as 5 regional champions, 2 regional finalists, 4 state semi-finalists, 1 state runner up and 2 state champions.

He played collegiate tennis at Angelo State University and after graduation was a United States Professional Tennis Association Club professional for six years at the Racquet Club in Midland, Texas. He has been the head tennis coach at Frenship High School in Lubbock, and at Flower Mound High School in Lewisville. During those years, Coach Wikse coached 30 district champions, 44 regional qualifiers, and 4 state semi-finalists. He has also coached 4 undefeated team tennis district champions and has led his teams to set all school records at Vandegrift, Flower Mound, and at Frenship.

Coach Wikse comes from a tennis family. His dad, Pat Wikse, was the head tennis coach at Permian High School for many years, and he is a member of the Texas Tennis Coaches Hall of Fame. Coach Wikse has two sisters who were both consensus high school all-Americans and collegiate tennis athletes.

Coach Wikse has been married for 17 years to Kadee Wikse, and they have two children, Jake and Brooke. Kadee is a registered nurse and certified teacher and looks forward to teaching in Magnolia.
