Sam Bell Named Director of Human Resources

“I am excited and honored to be part of the educational leadership team at Magnolia ISD,” stated Bell.

Bell has 32 years of experience in education with 12 of those years as superintendent in Brenham ISD and Hamilton ISD. As superintendent, he developed and implemented professional staff incentive programs, an employee sick leave bank program, and a leadership academy for first time administrators. In 2002, Bell was also named the Region 12 Secondary Principal of the Year.

He has served on the Texas Association of School Administrators Administrative Services Committee, the Educational Support Center for Region 6 Adult Education Advisory Committee, and the Blinn College “TEACH” Program Committee.

Bell holds a Bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University, a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Mid-Management Certification from Texas A&M Commerce. He received his Superintendent Certification from Tarleton State University.

He and his wife Karen have been married for 29 years and have two sons and three grandchildren. He enjoys hunting and is a track official for Texas A&M indoor track meets.
