Magnolia High School Students Medal at State in UIL Academics

The school is extremely proud to announce that two students placed in medal positions at the state meet. Lucille Stinn, a senior, has been competing in Ready Writing since she was a freshman, winning at district in 2015 and 2016, winning at region in 2016 and 2017, and this year qualifying and placing 3rd at the state meet! Jacob Sass, junior, is a two-time Accounting competitor, winning at district and region in 2016 and 2017, achieving a perfect score at the 2017 region meet, qualifying for the state level in both 2016 and 2017, and this year placing 4th at the state meet! These two students are to be commended for their hard work and achievements.

Magnolia High School UIL Academic Team overall has been quite successful this year. The team was the District 20-5A Champions for the 4th year in a row and for the first time in history, the team was the Region 5-3A Champion. The team’s success is a result of the dedicated coaches who work with the students in each event and the hard work of all the students competing with the team. There are many hours of practice required for a school’s academic team to achieve these incredible results and Magnolia High School has students who are willing to do what it takes!
