Internet and Phone Service Interrupted

Construction crews are working to repair the fiber lines impacting the district phones and internet. Campuses cannot receive or make external phone calls and internet service is down. Service should be restored by 6 p.m.this evening.

Tax Ratification Election

The Magnolia ISD Board of Trustees has called a Tax Ratification Election or TRE for Tuesday, August 14, 2018. Magnolia ISD has proposed a change in the tax rate for the 2018-2019 school year that requires voter approval. It is important to note this penny exchange requires a restructuring of the tax rate but will not increase the school district tax rate.

Magnolia, Texas (July 10, 2018) – Jeremy Hubbard has been named the assistant principal at Bear Branch Junior High. He joins Magnolia ISD from Spring ISD and has 20 years of experience in education. For the last 15 years, he has been an assistant and associate junior high principal.

Dr. Ben Petty Named Bear Branch Jr. High Principal

Magnolia, Texas (July 2, 2018) – Dr. Ben Petty has been selected as the Principal of Bear Branch Junior High. He has served as the associate principal at Magnolia High School for the past two years and has 13 years of administrative experience including elementary and secondary assistant principals, and high school principal.

FFA Student Competing for Nationals

Magnolia, Texas (June 26,2018) – Magnolia High School incoming senior Coltin Walton was recognized as the State Winner and National Qualifier with his Animal Science Agriscience Research Proficiency. Agriscience Research proficiency awards involve planning and conducting an agriculturally based scientific experiment based on hypothesis and the use of the scientific methods of investigation on the hypothesis.

STAAR Results for 3rd - 8th Grade

STAAR results are available for all students in 3rd through 8th grade through the state's online website. You can receive your child's access code through the student portal, review your child’s scores, as well as additional information relating to your child’s performance, by going to: www.TexasAssessment.com.
