MISD Compensatory Education
State Compensatory education is an intervention program to supplement the regular classroom program for students who are at risk of not graduating from high school.
Students who meet any of the state criteria for being at-risk are eligible for services funded through State Compensatory funds. They may be students who have not passed STAAR, who have been retained, who read below grade level, who are not making passing grades, who are pregnant or who have a primary language other than English.
A student's at-risk status is reviewed annually to decide on appropriate intervention services.
