The Magnolia ISD STARs program is designed for citizens who wish to build an understanding of the district and take an active role in making a difference in the schools in their community.
STARs registration is open to those who are retired, have grandchildren or children who have aged out of the district, and reside within the boundaries of Magnolia ISD.
STARs will have the opportunity to learn about the Board of Trustees and District Administration's roles in making Magnolia ISD fiscally responsible and academically strong. The program will also cover topics such as
- meeting with the Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Jason Bullock, and district administrators
- learning about the growth and development in our area
- understanding district finances and how a public school budget works
- learning about district academics, programs, and more
Benefits of being a STAR:
- Maroon Card pass for home athletic games and fine art performances
- Special activities designed for the interest of the group, including new facility tours
- Discounted tickets to select fine arts and athletic events
- Opportunities with school district leaders
Our first cohort will begin on July 25, 2024.
