Athletics is an integral part of our secondary education process and the development of "school spirit" is one of the most important contributions an athletic program can make toward the successful and smooth operation of a school. The Board and Administration recognize the importance of an excellent athletic program and the value it gives our students.
Proper attitudes and a competitive nature should result from participation in a good program. Athletics in our society provides one of the finest ways in which our young people can develop into responsible men and women. Athletic activities provide opportunities for teaching, sportsmanship, understanding, citizenship and teach an appreciation of teamwork and the fact that hard work leads toward success.
No student is obligated to take part in athletics, nor is it required for graduation.
