Financial Transparency

Transparency Star

As a Texas Public School District, Magnolia ISD has revenue streams consisting of federal, state and, local sources. A significant portion of the local revenue is comprised of property tax revenue generated by property owners within the boundaries of MISD. As stewards of taxpayer dollars, the MISD Board and Administration is committed to transparency of financial dealings. The Financial Transparency webpage is generated in an effort to promote a crystal-clear picture of district finances for public viewing.  For additional information or to make an Open Records Request, please contact the Assistant Superintendent of Operations, Dr. Erich Morris.

Magnolia ISD Tax Rate Adoption:

This year’s tax levy to fund maintenance and operations expenditures does not exceed last year’s maintenance and operations tax levy.  The ordinance, resolution, or order setting this year’s tax rate does not require the statements about “tax increase” as specified in Section 26.05(b) of the Texas Property Tax Code.
