Media Guidelines

Magnolia ISD works cooperatively with news media and their request for information and coverage. The following guidelines are observed:

• MISD Director of Communications should be contacted when a representative from the media would like to visit a campus or facility.

• Reporters or cameras will not be permitted to film on campus or inside a campus without prior approval from the Director of Communications. Photographs and video may be taken on campus under the direction and approval of the Superintendent and/or Assistant Superintendent of Administration.

• The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) is followed at all times.
