PSAT 8/9

The PSAT 8/9 is a tool to help students plan for their future. The district provides students in Grade 8 the opportunity to take the PSAT 8/9. Parents and students will be able to access their score reports for the PSAT 8/9. This report will help them to know what areas they are on track for college and what areas they need to focus on as they start to prepare for their future.

PSAT/NMSQT

Students in Grades 9-11 have the opportunity to take the PSAT/NMSQT at each high school in the fall on the day scheduled by the College Board. This assessment helps prepare students for taking the SAT in the future. The report will help students know what areas they are on track for college and what areas they need to focus on as they start to prepare for their future. The PSAT/NMSQT also helps identify potential National Merit Scholars. To learn more about the National Merit Scholarship Program, go to http://www.nationalmerit.org.

STAAR

Student Portal

To see your child's STAAR results, log into the MISD Frontline Parent Portal. Click on Texas Assessment Parent Portal. It will automatically log you into the Texas Assessment Family Portal. Learn about your child’s STAAR results, including how your child answered test questions, and find personalized resources to support learning at home.

Credit By Exam

Credit By Exam (CBE) opportunities are available for students in Grades 1 - 8 who wish to accelerate to the next grade level. CBE testing is offered for Grades 9 - 12 who wish to earn original credit in a course not previously taken or for credit recovery. More detailed information along with registration forms are attached below.
