NJROTC is a citizenship and leadership program that instills service to the United 5554 States, personal responsibility, self-discipline, self-confidence, leadership skills and a sense of accomplishment in students. Naval Science curriculum includes instruction in government, national defense, wellness, maritime history, oceanography, meteorology, physical science and naval operations. Cadets are actively engaged in physical fitness and community service. After school competitive teams include: drill, air rifle, orienteering, academics and physical fitness. JROTC cadets are required to wear a uniform one day per week that is issued to them at no cost. Students do not incur any military obligation by participating in JROTC courses..
