Safety
Magnolia ISD and Pct. 5 Constable's Office are committed to the safety and security of all students, staff, and visitors. As MISD is committed to being the best district in Texas, this also means being a leader in the safety and security of our schools.
Magnolia ISD partners with Montgomery County Pct. 5 Constable's Office and in the Fall of 2018, the District committed additional resources to have a total of 20 officers -- at least one at each of our 15 campuses.
The Constables and MISD Administration work in cooperation in the responsibility of the following areas:
- Campus safety audits
- Liaison and coordination with other emergency response agencies
- Coordination of all criminal investigations
- Video surveillance
- Safety and security training
- Canine dogs
A school crisis can take a number of different forms including environmental event, such as a chemical spill or gas leak; a weather emergency such as a tornado; or dangerous activity happening near the school. The nature of a school crisis dictates whether school administrators will put in place a lockout, lockdown, shelter-in-place, evacuation, or any combination of these protocols, as a means to ensure the safety and well-being of our students and staff.
