Complaints and Concerns (All Grade Levels)
Usually, student or parent complaints or concerns can be addressed informally by a phone call or a conference with the teacher or principal.
For those complaints and concerns that cannot be resolved informally, the board has adopted a student and parent grievance policy at FNG(LOCAL) in accordance with Education Code Chapter 26A. This policy describing the grievance process in detail is available in the district’s online policy manual at www.magnoliaisd.org and is attached to this handbook as an appendix. The district’s grievance forms can be accessed below by clicking the "Forms" icon. Grievance forms can also be accessed at the principal’s or superintendent’s office and in the MISD student handbook.
Grievance forms must be completed and submitted to the district or campus principal in accordance with board policy FNG(LOCAL) and within the timelines established in board policy FNG(LOCAL).
Grievance forms must be submitted either:
- to the campus principal via hand delivery or attached to an email to the campus principal
- to the district office via mail or hand delivery - 31141 Nichols Sawmill Rd, Magnolia, TX 77355
- to the district office via email by clicking the "File Grievance Electronically" icon below. The grievance form must be attached to the email.
