Last night, we proudly celebrated the official dedication of Audubon Elementary, which first opened its doors this past August. The evening was filled with school spirit as students, staff, and community members gathered for a special ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Ribbon Cutting at Audubon Elementary

The Audubon Elementary Choir performed. Special guests, including elected officials, joined district leaders in commemorating this milestone. Ollie the Owl, the school’s beloved mascot, made an appearance, bringing energy and enthusiasm to the celebration.

Superintendent Dr. Jason Bullock and Board President Gary Blizzard shared inspiring remarks about the impact of this new campus. Audubon Principal Dr. Megan Baker spoke about the importance of strong leadership and a shared vision in ensuring Audubon Elementary’s success for years to come. The Student Voice Committee also shared five facts about Audubon including, "Audubon is named after the bird society, not after the road with no speed limit."

A special thank you to PBK Architects and B&C Constructors for their incredible work in designing and constructing a campus that will serve students for generations.

As the ribbon was cut, it symbolized more than just the opening of a building—it marked the beginning of a bright future for Audubon Elementary students, staff, and the entire Magnolia ISD community.
