Magnolia ISD is one of only 84 educational organizations across the State to earn the Texas Association of School Business Officials (TASBO) Award of Merit for Purchasing Operations for following best practices in the area of purchasing operations. 

The Award of Merit was established in 2009 to recognize Texas school districts, open-enrollment charter schools, and education service centers that are committed to following professional standards in the acquisition of goods and services. This is the sixth consecutive year that MISD has earned this award.

“We’re proud of the work our honorees do to streamline school purchasing operations, comply with regulations, and set the standard for how to utilize taxpayer dollars,” said Tracy Ginsburg, TASBO Executive Director. “That so many teams take the time to document their practices and procedures speaks to the strength of the school finance and operations in schools across Texas.”
