Free & Reduced Price Meal Applications Are Now Available Online
Kate Hope

The Texas Legislature recently approved funding to cover the cost of reduced-price meals. As a result, students who qualify for reduced-price meals by completing a meal application will receive them at no cost. This includes breakfast and lunch.

Students who qualify for reduced-price meals can now receive them at no cost.

Beginning this week, the Magnolia ISD Child Nutrition Department will begin distributing letters to families about eligibility benefits and any actions households need to take to apply for these benefits. Applications are also available at 110 Magnolia Blvd, Magnolia, TX 77355. Applications will also be available at each campus and can also be completed online. Click here to apply.

Families may qualify based on household income or participation in certain assistance programs such as SNAP, TANF, or FDPIR. Children who are foster, homeless, runaway, migrant, or enrolled in programs like Head Start may also be eligible.

To apply, households should submit a completed application, which includes:

  • Names of all household members

  • Current income details

  • Last 4 digits of the adult signer’s Social Security number (or a box checked if none)

  • Signature confirming the information is accurate

For questions or assistance, families can reach out to the Child Nutrition Department at 281-252-2231.
