Nine students from Magnolia West High School have been awarded scholarships by the Taylor Whitley Show Up Foundation. These students were nominated by their teachers for demonstrating outstanding character, a core value that the foundation seeks to honor.

The Taylor Whitley Show Up Foundation, created in memory of Taylor Whitley—a former NFL player and Aggie—was founded by his wife, Shannon Whitley Riley. Taylor’s life was guided by his powerful motto: “Show Up, Give a Flip, Repeat.” This motto reflects the belief that character is the foundation of success, and it encourages individuals to show up for others, give their best effort, and repeat the process to create positive change in their communities.

"We believe that by encouraging students at such a pivotal time in their lives, they will continue to show up in the future for themselves and their community," said Shannon Whitley Riley, founder of the Taylor Whitley Show Up Foundation. 

The scholarships are awarded based on character and are granted through teacher nominations. This unique process ensures that the recipients have demonstrated the highest standards of integrity and personal responsibility. The nominations are submitted online through the foundation’s website at www.taylorwhitleyshowup.com.
