On January 7, 2025, Magnolia ISD held its second annual Pop-Up Shop for teachers and classroom paraprofessionals, offering an exciting opportunity to stock up on essential classroom supplies. This event, aimed at supporting the educators who make a difference in the lives of students, invited all 1,200 Magnolia ISD teachers and classroom paraprofessionals to attend and take advantage of free supplies to enhance their classrooms.

Participants were provided with a budget to “shop” for a wide variety of essential items such as paper, motivational posters, educational games, snacks, treasure box items, glue, scissors, flair pens, flexible seating, and much more. The Pop-Up Shop was created to help educators meet the unique needs of their students and create positive, engaging learning environments.

“We are so grateful for the support of our sponsors that continue to make this event possible,” said Superintendent, Dr. Jason Bullock. “Like the items in the Pop-Up Shop, our teachers are essential and to be able to provide an event that supports them and the important work they are doing feels amazing.”

The event was made possible thanks to the generous contributions of local businesses and community partners. The Magnolia Education Foundation, H-E-B Helping Here, Colton by Airia Development played a huge role in providing funds for the Shop. Additional sponsors included Tejas Office Products, Indeco, Terracon, and PBK Architects. We can not thank them enough for their dedication to education and commitment to supporting our teachers helped fill the room with over $31,000 in classroom supplies.

“This event is a testament to the strength of our community and the importance of working together to ensure our educators have everything they need to thrive in the classroom,” said Becca Henry, Magnolia Education Foundation president. “We are thrilled to be a part of this fantastic event that directly impacts hundreds of classrooms.”

“We’re so lucky to have an amazing district like Magnolia to provide all these fun things for our teachers,” said Ms. Jeter, pre-k teacher at Williams Elementary. “We feel very supported and appreciated.”
