Thank you, voters for your support of Proposition A.
Kate Hope

On November 8, 2022, the Magnolia ISD community members considered a $232 million bond initiative addressing the growth in our district. Of the 26,000 votes cast in this election, 52% of voters favored Proposition A ($228 million), while 40% were in favor of Proposition B ($4 million).

Thank you to our community members, parents, and staff for supporting the growth of our district. The successful passage of the bond will allow us to address the continued growth in our district by building Audubon Elementary, a new intermediate school, and a new junior high school. We will also be able to expand our CTE program, renovate the ag barn, renovate space for NJROTC, install upgrades to security and technology, and complete much-needed capital improvement projects.

Proposition B would have provided funds to standardize our baseball and softball fields to compete with surrounding districts by installing artificial turf. While we are disappointed this proposition did not pass, we remain committed to providing our students and staff with quality facilities and programs.

Thank you to the members of the bond committee, the Board of Trustees, as well as the district and campus staff who assisted us in the facilities planning process. The success of the bond election was due to your support and dedication to Magnolia ISD. The district will continue to be a good steward of taxpayer dollars, with the MISD tax rate remaining at $1.1472, the lowest rate in 20 years.

As we begin moving forward with building the three new schools and renovations, MISD will share updates about the progress. The administration will share the bond progress regularly through the District’s website and other communication outlets and will remain committed to the highest level of financial transparency.

Thank you for your continued support of MISD and for saying “Yes!” to our students and schools.
